Woman Accidentally Kills Her Two Kids While Driving Around Grocery Store Parking Lot for 11 Hours Looking for Close Parking Spot

COLUMBIA, SC – Patricia Wilk, 34, has been charged with two counts of capital murder today after her two young children died of a combination of starvation and asphyxiation after Wilk reportedly drove around a busy grocery store parking lot for 11 hours looking for a close parking spot.

Witnesses say Wilk weaved up and down the aisles for hours on end waiting and searching for a parking spot a hundred feet closer to the entrance of the store so she didn’t have to walk an extra minute or two.

“It doesn’t make any sense. I never park that close because it’s so hard to back out with all the people around. Parking just a little further away is so much easier and only takes an extra minute to walk,” said fellow shopper Cynthia Bob.

After driving around for over 11 hours, Wilk’s ran out of gas. While calling an Uber to take her home, she left her car with her already unconscious children in the back, in the middle of the parking lot. They were found the next morning dead in the back seat.
