EAST RUTHERFURD, NJ – Local plumber Bill Smithson, 33, has no prior professional football experience at any level, but this doesn’t stop him from claiming to know how to fix his favorite football team.
“I was on my way to the office stuck in traffic the other morning when I was listening to sports talk radio. Mr. Smithson called into the show, and everything he said about the team made perfect sense,” said New York Giants Co-Owner John Mara.
Smithson has been a fan of football his entire life and claims he has enough experience from playing the hit football game, Madden 20.
“He was very decisive and direct about all of the moves he would make to improve the team. I never even thought about trading a 5th round pick for Patrick Mahomes until he mentioned it, so I knew right then and there that I had to meet with him.”
Other teams around the league are now turning their attention to sports talk radio to see if they can find their own diamond in the rough. We all know how intelligent people who call into sports talk radio shows are.
