AUSTIN, TX – Amid the ongoing pandemic and wondering when they’ll be able to ride slides again, slide enthusiasts all around the country feel hopeless since they’re not allowed to ride slides yet.
“I don’t care what it takes, but I need to go on a slide sooner than later. There’s a 20-foot slide near my house that I typically would go on twice a day, now I can’t since the park is closed because of COVID,” said slide enthusiast Mark Todds, adding how riding slides has been a massive part of his life since his teenage years.
“I used to travel all across the country every weekend to find the best slides. Now all I do is drive by my old stomping grounds and get upset, this sucks.”
Although many slide enthusiasts claim they’ll bring cleaning supplies with them and will wear masks while riding slides, the slide access at parks still remain closed.
