Family Arrested for Chaining Mother in Basement for Football Sunday

PITTSBURGH, PA – A father and his three sons have been arrested today after it was discovered that they chained their mother in their basement all day Sunday during football. A neighbor overheard the mother’s cries for help and called the police immediately.

Police found the mother in deplorable conditions in the pitch black, cold, and dirty basement with her wrists chained to the boiler. A bucket overflowing with excrement was found next to the boiler. 

Investigators discovered she was chained in the basement because the family thought she was talking and walking in front of the television too much during the first Sunday of the NFL season. Investigators are also looking into whether this is the first time this has happened or if it has been going on for longer.
