LOS ANGELES – With shipping congestion and issues lingering at big U.S. ports, good shortages, and price surges, many shipping companies are exploiting their workers through extended shifts and work quotas.
One Los Angeles man, Todd Bowl, told reporters he’s completely fine with workers being exploited overseas and in the U.S. as long as he still gets his fun toys by Christmas.
“As bad as exploitation and things of that nature are, I still need to get my fun stuff from Black Friday and all that jazz. Should seafarers and shipping industry workers be treated better? Sure, but cmon, I need my toys,” said Bowl.
